Early Life & Education
Born in the lineage of spiritual leaders, Harshvardhan Anand represents the new generation of youth visionaries committed to reviving India’s spiritual, cultural, and holistic health heritage. Guided since childhood by his father and Guru, Yogrishi Acharya Ashutosh Ji Maharaj, he has dedicated his life to the cause of Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and nation-building.
His journey began at just five years old when he delivered his first speech on Yoga at Lok Kala Manch Auditorium, fearlessly addressing an audience far beyond his age. Over the years, he participated in debates, elocutions, and extempore competitions, consistently winning gold medals and shaping his natural oratory and leadership skills. At Blue Angels Global School, he served as Vice House Captain (2017–18), House Captain (2018–19), and Discipline Incharge (2019–20). Later, he became the Head Boy of Rawal International School (2021–23). Alongside academics, he self-studied astrology, driven by deep curiosity.
Journey of Seva & Spiritual Work
Under the mentorship of his Guru, Harshvardhan entered a rare field of seva at an exceptionally young age. By the age of nine, he became the first child in India to be granted an All-Central Jail Entry Pass, volunteering every summer in Tihar and Mandoli Jails. There, he taught yoga, organized cultural programs, and contributed to prison reform initiatives.
Over time, he conducted yoga sessions for thousands of inmates, including a landmark session in 2016 where he taught 1,500 prisoners in Tihar Jail simultaneously. The same year, he participated in the Rupantaran Yatra, a historic movement led by Acharya Ashutosh Ji that transformed the lives of 18 of Tihar’s most dreaded convicts.
Contributions & Outreach
His service extended beyond prisons to the Delhi Police Training College (Jharoda Kalan), Police Families Welfare Society, and yoga demonstrations at European embassies including those of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. He has successfully conducted World Yoga Day programs at multiple prisons such as Central Jail Neemka (Faridabad, 2022) and Haridwar District Jail (2024).
In 2025, Harshvardhan participated in the Gaumukh Sankalp Kalash Yatra, a spiritual journey from Rishikesh to the Gaumukh Glacier dedicated to preserving and conserving the holy river Ganga.
Recognitions & Achievements
For his tireless efforts, Harshvardhan has been honored by Ex-CBI Chief Shri Alok Verma and Director Generals of Tihar Jail. He was awarded the Gold Medal at the National Level Elocution Competition (2021) by CBIC, Government of India. Beyond academics, he has won awards in debates, sports, music, and has showcased cultural talents on instruments like the synthesizer and harmonium at Triveni Kala Sangam and other prestigious stages.
